Prickles the Hedgehog was invited into the village by the Dragons instead of Kiki, which is quite unusual, but is a lovely story of friendship and care.  It is because of this that he lives so close to the Great Tree Library.

Although it is not very well known due to his modest nature, Prickles is an author who loves reading and writing. His creativity comes from observing the world around him as he finds conversation very difficult. Because of this, Prickles doesn’t really speak and even his movements are very quiet. His almost silent nature makes it a slower process for him to get to know others but he is always very thoughtful and likes to give gifts to other residents when he finds the perfect thing for them.

Prickles is found in lots of different places throughout Kiki Lane but his most visited places are the Library and the plant shop. He really loves his plants, although he always tends to pick the smallest ones so he can take them home without having to ask for help. One place you are less likely to find him is by the river as he doesn’t like large masses of water - perhaps he is scared of falling in.
