Meet Oscar, one of the liveliest characters. He is very playful and energetic and is often found playing in the water to pass the time as he doesn’t like staying still for too long. He is always very excited for his dinner of fish but he really doesn’t like eating his vegetables however much you try to persuade him.

Oscar lives next to the river situated near to Kiki Lane and travels into the village every afternoon to sell the fish he has caught that morning.  This is the perfect job for him as he loves catching fish but always ends up with more than he needs.  However, if you want to buy from him, you must get to him promptly as he can’t stay sitting and selling for too long before he sets off back to the water.

Along with selling fish, he also sells all the treasures he finds in the water. He collects everything into his little blue satchel each day along with a large red net for all fish and larger items. His charming nature means he is easily able to sell all kinds of things - from pebbles and shells to lost metal and water plants.  Oscar’s enjoyment of selling things comes from his love of his favourite, smooth pebble. He is absolutely certain smooth pebbles are best. His pebble has given him lots of joy and comfort and he wants to share that with others. When he sees someone struggling he will offer them his pebble to hold as he is convinced it makes you feel better and shows that he cares.
