Meet Moriko. She is not a resident of Kiki Lane, but lives nearby withiin the Emerald Forest. Moriko is a very sweet koala who adores reading and never leaves her favourite eucalyptus tree.

Moriko had made friends with the young plant fairy Willow after a chance encounter. Willow was flying through the forest when she saw a book lying on the forest floor. Looking around she noticed Moriko sleeping in the tree above. Moriko had dropped the book she was reading when she fell asleep. Willow returned the book to the koala after waking her and they had become friends since, with Willow visiting whenever she felt like it.

Spending most of her days alone in her favourite tree, Moriko is a very peaceful koala who happily alternates between reading or taking a nap. As an introvert, this system works beautifully for her and she never feels too alone. Any sort of group feels overwhelming for her and she much prefers just seeing one creature every now and again. For a long time she only had a small bookshelf carved into the tree trunk with a small handful of books she would read over and over again. However now, after being introduced to Kiki Lane, she has a delivery of book from the Great Tree Library every week which Kai delivers to her.  Fairy tales are always her favourite.
