Profile

Born from a thriving water source, Maya the water fairy has the important job of making sure the river and other local water sources stay healthy.  Before our story started, Maya was already good friends with Ruby and Oscar, meeting with them regularly in different locations. Maya loves visiting the sea and met Ruby there when the mushroom fairy was learning new seafood recipes at one of the restaurants in Pearly Shores..

Maya loves swimming and baths as she finds being surrounded by water very relaxing and calming. She is a very tranquil and nurturing character by nature which makes even the most shy creatures feel comfortable around her.  Maya is an introverted character which means she is not the most talkative and is very happy sitting in silence even if she is with people. Because of this she dislikes being the centre of attention and is happier helping out behind the scenes and staying away from very large crowds. Maya is very kind and always looks out for the youngest creatures and those who are in need of help. She is always very willing to give a helping hand to anyone but doesn’t enjoy a public thanks in return.

Maya was born with the innate ability of water magic. Ever since she was a young fairy she took the time to learn and hone her skills, allowing her to flourish in her magic studies. One of her favourite things to do is to dance with the water. If she has the time, and whenever she feels like no-one is looking, she will dance to her heart's content. Her magic allows her to effectively stand on the water and dance on the surface and then she is able to command the water around her, often as if it was a ribbon of water. Her dancing style is very lyrical and she will often dance even without music. Although she appreciates music, she does not like it to be too loud as she finds it very overstimulating.
